BRABANTIO
- Quote: “O thou foul thief, where hast thou stowed my daughter?” (Act 1, Scene 2)
- Analysis: Brabantio blames Othello for witch crafting her daughter which shows how he discriminated Othello for his color by following stereotype. Similarly, he tried to be an obstacle in his daughter’s decision for marriage and tried to control his daughter for the marriage which shows he acts like his daughter is his property.
